Leone, McDonnell & Roberts is pleased to announce that the firm has been named Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Business of the Year” in the Business Services category. The firm was honored at the Chamber’s award ceremony on March 22nd at the Sheraton Harborside in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

“It’s exciting to receive community praise for what we think is our everyday aim: exceptional effort on behalf of the surrounding community and the clients we serve,” said Jack Callahan, Jr., CPA, Managing Partner of Leone, McDonnell & Roberts. “We are proud to be recognized by the Chamber and look forward to the bright future our firm has in all of the communities we serve throughout New Hampshire.”

Governor Maggie Hassan, an Exeter resident, attended the event. She said, “It’s obvious that many Exeter area businesses are achieving high levels of success and are worthy of recognition.”

The Leone, McDonnell & Roberts staff members who accepted the award included Roger Hamel, Stratham office partner, Sharon Braly and Joe Quinn, Stratham office managers, and Connie Medeiros, Stratham office administrative assistant. Other firm employees that joined in the celebrations were Paula DePlanche, Dover office partner, and shared employees of Stratham and Dover offices, Shauna Brown and Brie Patterson.

Awards honoring distinguished Chamber member businesses were presented in a range of categories, including education, nonprofit, tourism/hospitality, retail and wholesale under 25 employees, retail and wholesale over 25 employees, and financial services and insurance. In total, there were over 90 businesses nominated for the various awards. The Chamber’s Business of the Year program is modeled after the state awards presented each May by Business NH Magazine and the New Hampshire Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.
