Local Accountants Receive Promotions
The local CPA firm of Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, Professional Association recently announced the promotions of Kristen Bournival, CPA and Shauna Brown, CPA.
“Since joining Leone McDonnell & Roberts, these individuals have demonstrated a strong desire to help both their clients and the firm succeed,” said Jack Callahan, Jr., CPA, Managing Partner of Leone, McDonnell & Roberts. “We are fortunate to have such dedicated professionals who are well aligned with our practice areas. We are excited to see the practice grow under their leadership.”
Bournival joined the firm in 2007. Now as a supervisor in the firm’s Dover office, she specializes in audits of small businesses and nonprofits, as well as employee benefit plans. Bournival is also responsible for providing tax planning and preparation services for both businesses and individuals.
Bournival graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting in 2007. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants (NHSCPA), Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Seacoast and the University of New Hampshire Alumni Association. In addition, Bournival is a NHSCPA young professionals committee member and a Dover Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. She is a current resident of Durham, New Hampshire.
Brown, formerly a supervisor, began her career at Leone, McDonnell & Roberts in 2006. As a manager, her practice is primarily dedicated to providing audit and review services for closely-held businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Shauna works with a wide range of clients, which include, but are not limited to manufacturers, distributors, not-for-profits and HUD organizations. She also has experience in taxation.
Brown received her Bachelor of Science degree in accounting in 2002. She is a member of the AICPA and NHSCPA. In particular, Brown is on the NHSCPA’s financial careers committee and is a board member and treasurer for the Dover Adult Learning Center. She currently resides in Deerfield, New Hampshire with her husband, Nate, and their two children.
