Partner of Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, Professional Association Named the 2012 Mary Mayhew Award Recipient
Tom Roberts, CPA, Vice President and Partner of Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, Professional Association was recently presented with the Mary Mayhew Award. The award was presented at the Starting Point Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, March 21, 2013.
“I’m honored to receive this award from Standing Point,” said Roberts. “The organization offers more than just assistance to those that have suffered from domestic or sexual violence, but hope for a brighter future. I am honored to be part of an organization that has touched so many lives.”
The Mary Mayhew award was created in 2009 to honor the contributions of Mary Mayhew, Starting Point’s Executive Director from 1996-2004. The award recognizes individuals and organizations, which through the course of their own work improve the lives of domestic and sexual violence in Carroll County and throughout New Hampshire.
Roberts joined Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, Professional Association in 1987 and currently works in the firm’s Wolfeboro and North Conway offices. In his role as partner-in-charge of the North Conway office, he guides the office’s day-to-day operations, working toward the overall growth and sustainability of the firm in the community. Roberts specializes in providing reliable consulting and tax planning services for private, family-owned businesses. He is also heavily involved with the firm’s nonprofit organization practice.
Roberts received his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Illinois State University. He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants (NHSCPA). Roberts is also an active member of the community. He is the treasurer and board member of Starting Point; member of the finance committee of the Mount Washington Valley Economic Council; treasurer of Friends of Kingswood Football; and advisory board member of G.A.L.A. Roberts currently resides in Wolfeboro with his wife, Rita.
