LMR Welcomes New Accountants to Firm

We are pleased to welcome two new employees to our professional staff, Rachelle Burnham of Lee and Abby Lamothe of Dover.

Rachelle Burnham, a Supervisor at the firm, is a 2001 graduate of Bentley College (now Bentley University) where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Prior to joining Leone, McDonnell & Roberts, she gained valuable experience one of the “big four” accounting firms. She also owned her own CPA firm for ten years before joining the LMR team.

A licensed CPA in the State of New Hampshire, Rachelle is highly-skilled in tax preparation, specializing in individual, estate, trust, gift and closely-held business taxation.

Outside of the office, Rachelle enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She also enjoys antiquing, reading and interior design.

A licensed CPA in the State of New Hampshire, Abby Lamothe joins Leone, McDonnell & Roberts as Senior Accountant, bringing with her significant experience in the area of auditing. Abby returns to LMR after completing her summer internship at the firm in 2014.

“When I previously interned at LMR, I noted quickly how close-knit the practice is,” said Abby. “The sense of support and family within the staff makes a world of difference.”

A graduate of the Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire, Abby earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting in 2014 and her Masters of Science in Accounting in 2015.

Upon graduating, she entered the workforce where, for the last few years, she has gained significant experience in auditing. She is a member of both the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Abby volunteers her time at the UNH Pathways Program in Durham, serves on the finance committee for Seacoast Eat Local and is the Sweet Stitches group leader at Maple Suites in Dover. She enjoys knitting and getting involved in the community, prompting her to start a fiber works program at Maple Suites, where residents work together on knitting, crocheting, sewing, and cross-stitching projects. She also enjoys exercising at a local barre fitness studio.

“We are delighted to officially welcome Rachelle and Abby to our team,” said Managing Partner Jack Callahan, CPA. “Their leadership, extensive experience and skills will be assets to our firm and the clients we serve.”

Both Rachelle and Abby will work out of the Dover office.
