IRS Federal – Individuals (1040) | April 18, 2022 | IRS begins accepting and processing individual 2021 tax returns on January 24, 2022. You can request a 6-month extension, October 17, 2022, to file your taxes, however, you must still pay any balances you may owe by April 18, 2022. Maine and Massachusetts taxpayers will have until April 19, 2022 because those states observe Patriots’ Day (on April 18, 2022). | More Info. |
